The medium changed.
The purpose stayed.
I’m Anthony Kan: a facilitator, programme builder and AI-assisted product builder.
Helping people take a next step
For more than two decades, my work has involved facilitation, learning, youth, employability and community programmes. A recurring question is how to help someone recognise what they have and turn it into something they can act on.
Sometimes the gap is confidence. Sometimes it is language, a skill or a structure. Useful support starts by understanding that gap rather than deciding in advance what someone needs.
A new way to make something useful
I did not begin as a conventional software engineer. AI-assisted coding opened a way to build tools I could previously only imagine or describe. InkSpire, My Next Step and the other projects here became real places to learn what that possibility involves.
The work also exposed limits. A fluent answer could leave questions about purpose, design or saving unresolved. I have had to look more closely at what was built, ask better questions and reconsider decisions I thought were settled.
Why share the work
I want the projects to make building feel possible without pretending it is effortless. Someone who understands a real problem may have a valuable starting point, even if they do not yet know how to code.
I use this site to write about the projects and what happens while making them. There is more about my background on anthonykan.com.
