Anthony KanBuilding with AI

Human purpose. AI-assisted building.

Your idea.
A real next step.

InkSpire

I’m Anthony. I build useful tools with AI, and share what I am learning along the way.

An illustrated working table bringing together My Next Step, Fiction Studio and an InkSpire comic.

Start with what matters to someone.

An idea, a strength, a story: sometimes the missing piece is a way to act on it. After more than two decades in facilitation and learning, building with AI is another way I explore that possibility.

Different tools.
A shared purpose.

Help people recognise what they have, learn what they need, and do something with it.

Confidence through real experience

My Next Step

Helping people see what they can offer through everyday experience, then use it towards work, education or training.

InkSpire

Turning text into comics and learning material without needing to draw. As InkSpire grew, I began to see how much work sits between a promising feature and a usable product.

What the building
taught me

What changed while I was building, and the questions the screens alone cannot show.

All Build Notes

A person still
makes the decisions.

Purpose before code

Know who the tool is for and what it needs to make easier. A working feature is only the beginning.

Evidence before confidence

Check the actual experience. Name what has been tested and what remains uncertain.

Help without taking over

People should keep authority over their story, choices and work. AI can help without deciding for them.

Be willing to simplify

Remove a feature, change a direction or stop an experiment when the evidence calls for it.

You do not have to
start as an engineer.

I’m developing practical learning for people who understand a problem and want to learn how to build something useful with AI.
